When Kim Rhodes was growing up in Kentucky, ice cream shops weren’t just quick stops for a cone or sundae; they were the heartbeat of the community—places where families built traditions, teenagers bonded over milkshakes, and milestones were celebrated with scoops of joy. These cherished memories inspired Kim and her husband Chris to create something just as special when they founded Blue Scoop Creamery in 2020.
Chris, a Cleveland native with a passion for business and a deep appreciation for quality ice cream, shared Kim’s dream of building a space to bring people together. After moving to Southern California, the couple saw an opportunity to turn their shared vision into reality. Together with their children—Theo, Abby, and Olivia—they set out to craft a gathering place where everyone feels welcome.
Today Blue Scoop Creamery is more than a destination for homemade, seasonal flavors. It’s where the community comes to celebrate birthdays, compete for a high score on the pinball machines, and share smiles over scoops of their favorite treats. Whether you’re stopping by for a family outing or hosting a party, Blue Scoop Creamery is where sweet moments and lasting memories are made.
